How We Are Different: Assessing Storm Damage

To be sure your home doesn’t have hidden damage after a storm, it’s important to have it inspected by a qualified contractor who can provide you with an honest assessment. Your insurance company can send out an adjuster who will look to see if the roof and exterior of your home has any visible signs of damage. However, in instances where the storm affected a large number of homes, the adjustor could be inspecting more than a dozen homes a day and might not be able to give your home the attention it deserves. Having your home inspected by a local, qualified contractor will give you peace of mind that nothing is overlooked.

123 Exteriors gives customers a comprehensive evaluation of their home. At 123 Exteriors, our customers are our biggest concern and we take pride in our high quality of inspections. Our Restoration Specialists are not in a hurry when looking for possible signs of storm damage. 123 Exteriors specialists must complete extensive training before surveying your home. They hold themselves to high standards and take pride in focusing on insurance practices and standards, as well as local laws.

We do not take possible storm damage to your home lightly. When our specialists are doing an inspection, we perform the same tests as the insurance company, but we don’t stop there. Our inspections include:

  • Roof
  • Siding
  • Gutters
  • Windows
  • Hot Tub Covers
  • Decks
  • Fences
  • Porch grills
  • Lawn ornaments

Damage is Hard to See

Some storm damage can be challenging to identify if you don’t know what you are looking for.  For example, one of the tests we'll perform is the spotlight test. Hail damage to your siding can be difficult to see during the day. Shining a spotlight on your home at night will highlight any possible damage. Our inspections are backed with a detailed report and photos of any damage we find. And, we won’t waste your time if there isn’t damage!

Your insurance company will ultimately make the final call on the reimbursement, but having 123 Exteriors professionally inspect your home for potential storm damage can prevent costly repairs if anything is overlooked. 123 Exteriors is committed to giving every customer, an honest contractor and a thorough inspection.
