Mike Braun
President/Owner
Mike was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and went to college in San Jose, California. He got his start in the exterior remodeling business right out of college, quickly working his way to the top of a publicly-traded insurance restoration firm. During those years, Mike was trained by a former insurance adjuster on the details of the exterior remodeling business. He learned the difficulties that homeowners can face when their properties are damaged by weather;especially the pitfalls of working with vast, multi-billion dollar insurance companies. After several years, Mike left the company from a management position, determined to found a company of his own on the principles of honesty, integrity and quality.
123 Exteriors was founded on the principles of hard work and honesty that Mike learned growing-up Nebraska. His dedication to these principles has helped the company build a solid foundation. That foundation has helped the company grow swiftly. Under Mike’s leadership, 123 Exteriors has opened offices in several states, from his hometown in Omaha, NE to places like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Ohio. By remaining committed to the principles of honesty, integrity and quality, Mike has helped to build 123 Exteriors into a national company, one that has helped thousands of homeowners around the country.
Juan Anaya
Vice-President/ Operations Manager
Mike and Juan have worked together from the beginning to build 123 Exteriors Inc. from a small, Illinois company to a national force in the exterior restoration business. Juan began his career as a police officer in 1981, when he joined the Cook County, IL Sheriff’s Department. He was a police officer for nearly 20 years, promoted to Sergeant and then to Deputy Chief Investigator. He started buying and rehabilitating properties as a way to supplement his salary, and found that he had a knack for fixing bad properties, not just busting bad guys. He resigned his job in the police department in 1998. Having worked as a public servant for almost two decades, he became a small business owner for the first time in 1999, when he opened “All Hands on Deck Inc.,” building custom high-end decks, screen-rooms and gazebos. He later founded “Amazing Concrete Improvements Inc.,” a company which was successful enough to resurface the main staircases of the St. Louis Arch. Juan’s skill and competence in construction operations led him to build an impressive commercial client list:
- National City Bank
- U.S National Park Service
- Denny’s Restaurant
- White Castle Restaurant
- Burger King Restaurant
- McDonald’s Restaurant
Mike and Juan met through their respective businesses and determined that their individual strengths could be combined to build a strong foundation for a new company. Mike’s experience in insurance restoration and Juan’s experience in construction management were complimentary, but it was their shared beliefs in honest business practices and hard work that ultimately brought 123 Exteriors to life. Today, Mike and Juan oversee hundreds of employees and subcontractors in multiple states across the country, but each new office and each new employee reflects those values that Mike and Juan shared and laid as the foundation of 123 Exteriors, Inc.
